Troop Meeting 10/2/07

This coming troop meeting,seniors will be having cooking competition(using real fire, not milux), juniors will be doing pioneering

"This Saturday ( 10 February 2007) there will be a cooking competition between all senior patrols. We will cook using modern utensils but with a wood fire ( not using gas stove). It is advisable to bring your own fire wood and platforms( brick or stone) to put your wok on. The marking system is as folows.

Dish Marks
Meehoon 20% ( taste 10% deco 5% presentation 5%)
Vegetable 20% ( taste 10% deco 5% presentation 5%)
Chicken breasts 20% ( taste 10% deco 5% presentation 5%)
Patrol Special(Your own creation) 40% ( taste 15% deco 10% presentation 10% crativity 5%)

PLs must collect a total of RM 3 from your patrol for the first three dishes. These three will be provided. For the Patrol Special, you are given a budget of RM5. Only the basic ingredients will be provided. Others things (onion, garlic, spices, sauce, oil etc) will have to contributed by your own patrol. Bring your own ladels.

Competition Rules
1.You have two hours to cook including fire lighting time.
2.You are not allowed to combine any of the 4 dishes.
3. Halal

Apa itu patrol special??? Patrol special is a dish created by our own patrol, therefore it should be the one and only one dish in the whole world...maybe u can even make an earning form it too.....IF, IF u r good...

Back to the point, patrol special as it is named must be special or unik... It must be something that other patrol don't have...So u can either create ur own dish or if u r not vry good in cooking u can:
1. ask ur mom,aunty or grandmother for some recipes n change here there a little bit
2. surf the net.. get a recipe n modify it
3. get ur patrol members to brain storm
4. use some expensive ingredient such as abalone.....etc that way u will be "special"
