What i've learn for doing my part time job.

TEKA-TEKI

1.Jika gajah naik kereta, manusia naik apa?

...naik hairan

2.Haiwan apa, siang dia mati, malam dia hidup?

....ikan ( siang has 2 definition)

3.Benda apa, jika disebut satu kali boleh dimakan, tetapi disebutkan 2 kali, ia tak boleh dimakan?

....kacang ( kacang-kacang= ball bearing)

4. Ikan apa ada nama orang?

...ikan BAKAR

5. Benda apa, bila kita tidur dia bangun, bila kita bangun dia mati?

...kaki

6. Bunga apa bila bakar akan cantik?

...Bunga api

I've have been working form 7pm to 7am for 4days now, you need so jokes to keeo you away from sleep.

ANd i've experienced the effect of coffee. Will drink about 3-4 cups per night.

Oh ya, whats my job about?

- scan cassette bar code
- make sure that there is 25 media in it
- load cassette, when " load request" lights is turned on.
- press " load completed" buton when done

-unload cassette, when "unload request" light is on
-Scan out the cassette
- press "unload completed" button when done

KInda boring huh?
It's not kinda boring, it's pure boring.

But this the most important thing i learn from this job after 5 days
1. ther si no prefect job, job sucks
2. better have some passion for you job, or u'll suffer
3.change your view, or ur jod sucks even more

how a Pro bubu looks like

2006 end year camp, I failed to make a bubu. Now I finally made one.



I'll name it noob.b Noob bubu. It is small, about 10cm in diameter, and 40 cm in length. I think it cant function as a bubu to catch any fish, even if I can I will be small fish, which if I would need to depend on it if I'm starving, I willstarve to death. Hence , no practical use.

Is it nice? No, not at all, hence it can serve as as a derocation too.

Conclusion it is neither, of much practical use nor decorative. therefore u get the name noob.b. it's a amatuer bubu.

However, now i realized why i failed to make bubu last time

Working In 1 of the cleanest place on earth.

Im working, In Western Digital, part-time, mainly to support them during Hari Raya.

WD in Penang, only manufactures the media(CD thingy), of the Hard Disk

Will be working in Sputter, the process where you put a thin layer of magnetic layer on the media- the layer which stores Info.

Will be working in Clean room class 10. Class 10?? That means, in 1 cube feet of air there will only be a maximum of 10 particles in the size less than few micrometre. CLean LEH.

Will be wearing a bunny suit to work :)

Will be working on a 12hr shift.


So coming up to Penang? Call me earlier.

It's finally over; It's finally here!!!

THE 1st It refers to my exams; the latter refers to my semester break!! It's a super long break till Hari Raya.

Just receive my academic calender, it seems that I]ll be having my study break during 2009 Chinese New Year, which means, exam right after it. One more thing, my 2nd semester break is also !.5 months long!!! lol

I'm currently in the library, just finished my last paper. Can't go online at home..zzzz

I wont be here now, if the jungle camp wasn't cancelled. lol!!!

So what next? rot at home? NO, I might be working In Western Digital, they had their 3rd interview yesterday. If i'm going to work there, it is going to be a 12 hour shift, 2week morning shift. 2weeks night shift, and the orientation might start this week.
there goes my holiday *cry*. Then again, there is scarcity in the world, you can't do everything you want. Gain something and you will lose other things- O.C. haha.

Original plan to go genting and somewhere else might be cancelled, or just will just postpone to the next holiday.

And if i didnt get the job, i'll make sure i'll do /learn something during the long holidays, won't want to lose out to other !!

My humble opinion - Uitm

Few days ago, the Menteri Besar of Selangor, Khalid Ibrahim gave a suggestion to open UiTM's door to 10% non-bumi. Then a we have a few demonstration here and there. (star, sin chew)

Here's my opinion

Case 1:Mission, vision & objective of Uitm- to make it simple it is to help the bumi by providing tertiary education, to that they can be professionals, contribute to the development of the country, and prepare them for globalization.(for full details, pls refer to the reference below)*

Case 2:Everyone who earns, donates some amount of money to UiTM (tax)

Case 3:UiTM isn't performing academically well, judged by referring to the un-employment rate of UiTM undergraduates **

Conclusion: The input(money), doesn't contra with the output(quality of graduate).
UiTM fails to meet it's mission, vision & objectives.
Something must be wrong.
Suggestion : Create competiton among UiTM students by opening it's doors to 10% non-bumi
by Selangor MB

TATA, as simple as that! So how complicated can the situation be? What with all fuss?? Just don't Politicalize & racialize it, and it would be fine.

August- Penang Frenzy ??

Currently I'm having Victoria in Penang,

Hey, although Penang Is an island, it ain't small. I'm living down South, near Penang bridge & Queensbay mall, but most tourist like Victoria stays up North- Batu Feringgi.

So don't get angry like Mingg, for not able to meet me :)

WOW...

Just too amazing, especially the lighting of the Olympic torch.The gigantic torch wasn't there at the beginning of the ceremony, but it some how appeared!!

Just too bad I don't have Astro, and RTM boardcasted it after the ceremony started for 30 minutes. Come on, 4 years once, can't you just scrap the News away, of maybe put the News at 7.30pm?

So where can I watch the 1st 30 minutes of the Opening ceremony? Anyone?

Went for another round of " study camp" yesterday.
Did we study? Of course.
The question: Is how much??

Who cares...we had steamboat yesterday night, to celebrate Mr Ah Beh's birthday, not his actual birthday though.

We had all the balls you can name:
fish ball, meat ball, sotong ball, prawn ball, sausage, cinta mee, and some vege to make up a balance diet!!

Was it delicious? Comparing to restaurant's food, not at all. But considering the condition at that time,I can say it is acceptable!! Only thing is that there is too much food, which results in wastage.. bad bad....

The drinks was the best!! 1 big kettle of orange juice+ one bottle of Calsberge.. Best you gotta try it!

yes nuggets, we had nuggets too. No we didn't 'steamboated' the nuggets, we deep fried it. the kitchen turned messy n super oily. Know I really can understand why my Mum dislike frying, and I learnt it the hard way :( One more thing, i used a induction cooker pot to deep fry the nuggets and melted the plastic handle :( worst still, that's not my pot!!! ARh.... my stubbornness

SO deep frying stuff is a PANTANG!!! unless I'm not the one cleaning :)

After the dinner, we had cake.

Next day, or today, we went to PC fair.... THE END.

AH....opportunity cost, how I like to use it to explain anything is possible, especially when it involves making decision.

Opportunity cost - is the value of the next best choice that one gives up when making a decision...

A friend asked: " issit possible to kau lui without spending money?"

My answer:" Aiyo it all depends on you, it is not about the money, it is the value you get from spending the money. Opportunity cost, u got to give up something to get another thing.

Next up!!!!

1. End test in less than a week
2. Right after end test going to Templers park ( seriously right after, test ends at 12, bus should be leaving at 1pm reach KL by 6pm, 7.30 pm reach Templers)
3. Not going for college nite ( come on it is open air) and to make up for it we'll go to a cruise 1d1n with the same amount of money needed for the open air college nite.
4. Genting???

O.H.L.A. opportunity-hope-luck-and eveything else

I check both of my email accounts, hotmail and gmail everyday Ok ok , maybe not everyday, but at least once every 2 days.

So, the facts were these.

2 weeks ago, I received an email from my college: My college is having a partnership with Western Digital, we, the students get a chance to have an internship with them during the semester break, working as a technician. ( in an more direct but inappropriate term for internship- cheap labor).
Interested students can submit in their detail, and an interview will be held.

I was interested, but wasn't sure about it cause you'll got to work on a 12hour shift, and no more relaxing holidays...

On Monday evening, I received another email, stating that the 1st batch interview will be held on Tues. Then I realized that I was steps behind people, so I just submit my details, and hope that "if they have a 1st batch then they will have a 2nd batch"

Days passed... After a week, no news yet.

30th July, wasn't at home, but my friend received email stating names of those who got the internship. I thought it was over, there wont be a 2nd interview. But I was wrong.

31 July evening, I checked my mail, and received an email- for the 2nd interview. Guess what the interview was on 31 July 2pm !!!

Arh... I missed it!! Only 1 word can describe my feeling--- TULAN.....

Moral of the story:

1. Check your email regularly
