The Jamboree long lost post... day1 27/7

Went to KLIA right after lunch by the airport taxi. We are told to meet at gate 10, but there was no gate 10, there is only gate 8 lol..

Meet up with all my patrol members for the first time.... 2 from JB and 1 just came from Australia.
17th Petaling scouts

We gathered at the airport by 3pm, and after all the checking in, we boarded the plane at about 8pm. The last time i boarded a plane was about 14 years ago, so I was like a kampung boy who had never went into an airport before, i didn't even realise that there is a microchip in the passport..

my first aeroplane dinner after so many years

After about 1 hour fight we landed in Thailand new airport, patrol hang tuah

The Thailand airport is still very new, the air in the airport smells different, even the water tasted different. The airport is super long... traveling from 1 end to the other is very tiring..

While waiting , we met scouts from Taiwan, they are called LEO scout, a community based scout troop. Their leader is a monk with a cowboy hat.
We are all going to take the same flight to uk!!! this is Mr Chan, he looks very strict all the time, but not in this photo...

Boarded the plane at 1am.After 16 long and suffering hours in the plane, we reached uk, Heathrow airport. Again , we met more Taiwan scouts.
the guy on the right, his name is lin you chen, a friend I met in the Jamboree. At the present time this photo was took, we didn't know each other yet..

From the airport, we took a shuttle bus that brought us to the bus terminal where a couch will us to the airfield for check in, before going to the jamboree site.

There was sun, but the wind is Uk is just too cold.... It was a funny feeling back then, as you can see the bright sun, yet you still feel cold..
The clear sky in UK

After a few hours on road without any water, everyone was dehydrated, once we reached the airfield, we got two cups of water to be shared with the whole bus of people.... In the airfield, we met a Brazilian girl who was born in Malaysia...

After we reached the jamboree site, we were greeted by all the scouts over there, an d most important of all, we finally had some water.
once again its patrol hang tuah

Tha jamboree site is very beautiful, just look at the grass, it is so nice that you can just sleep on it!!!
After lunch , we set up our camp site, just like any other camp....
our clothes hanger.

Then cooked our dinner, which was ......... never mind its only our first meal.
