Project "slit tower "

I never built a slit tower before , so i called Alwin to join me in this project... so this two idiots knowing that SPM was less than a month but still decide to build a slit tower for fun!!!
ok ok , we wanted to build it because
1. it is our small scout dream
2. we want to test our skill ( ya man to show those form 4 we got skills!!!) and lansi to them
3.challenge ourself
ya of course reason no. 2 only applies when if we succeed !! if not sure very pai sei.

N because we can't stay back in school for too long, we divided the building of the tower to 3 days.

36 days before spm ..Mon-Tuesday building the tower, its just me an d Alwin, we want to this in the two-man-show way...
34 days before spm ...Wed setting up the tower... ok.. this one can't two-man-show d.... so I called a few more people to help.

helper 4: yu , the 24-7 pan cool lan si guy

the setting up of this tower was a lot more easier than expected..
manage to bring it up by 2pm ... n dismantle it by 3pm.... how sad...

ya so the first thing me and alwin did after the tower was up was, to test it out by climbing it !!!

I was so excited, and wanted to be the first person to be on it, but right before i climbed, i stopped.... because IF the tower is not stable, and I on it , it is still ok .. but if alwin is to climb up, we all will be going to a new world together!!! so , it is better for alwin to test the tower 1st, IF anything happen... it will be easier for him to claim insurance, because his parents work in an insurance company ....yeah man i am so smart..

but well the tower was quite stable, it could even fit 6 of us on it!!

Since it was so stable, everyone went up the tower and started posing

we were all so into taking photos with the slit tower that we didn't really check an d study in detail the weakness/mistake of the tower....lol

now come to think of it, i think the tower doesn't really need the rope to support it, because ones we place the tower into the hole it was so heavy that it sunk in....should have try to untie all the ropes.... maybe it wont fall ..

the tower look leaning towards aside , because we chose a bengkok bakau as one of the main pole. Lashings we tied was so so, my lashing are now lousier....
It took us around 2.75 hours to build it n about 30 minutes to set it up ...
total lashings tied...52, so it makes up to an average of 26 lashing per person..

overall it is quite good...have lots of fun , well i guess we should set our aims higher, maybe we can build it in a faster time, the again it is time for spm.
